Join our award winning volunteers for a memorable and meaningful walk through London's Chinatown. Public tours are led monthly, special edition tours covering particular topics are held throughout the year, and private tours and school tours are arranged by request. A unique in-depth experience
Our tours are unique. Researched and developed by committed volunteers for over seven years, the stories and multi-layered experiences of Chinatown that we can offer are unparalleled. Our tour is far from a superficial glimpse into Chinatown and groups are kept deliberately small to allow questions, conversation and - importantly - to avoid disrupting the people working hard in the area.
The classic tour is available monthly (January-November) and special edition tours are available throughout the year. See our upcoming dates here.
Schools & private groups are our specialty
Our award winning trained volunteers are skilled at welcoming groups of people of all ages and backgrounds. Private tours are available for five guests our more. Larger groups will be divided into smaller ones each with their own guide (most often, a guide will take 11 guests).
Every year we welcome hundreds of young people who are learning Mandarin for a memorable school visit that shows the language (and others) "in the wild". Trips can serve as a curriculum enrichment activity, and as reward for students' hard work and achievements.

Run by people who share a deep commitment to Chinatown
Our "History Champions" are all volunteers who share a deep commitment to London's Chinatown. We have individual personal connections to the area, which enrich our understanding and influence the different ways we may encourage you to see the neighbourhood. We have all lived, worked, visited and volunteered in the area for a substantial amount of time. We are not paid to take you on a tour and we do not use a standard script. We volunteer because we love Chinatown and we use our own lived experience to help you enjoy the area.
